Debut at Wild Roots Hair Company's 3rd Anniversary Event

As a 3D printing business, DIVO3D recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in Wild Roots Hair Company's 3rd anniversary event. This marked our first foray into showcasing our products and services at a public gathering, and we couldn't have been more thrilled with the experience.

Preparation was key to making the most of this event. Rather than bringing the usual trendy items like dragons, flexis, or eggs, we wanted to offer something unique, interesting, playful, and useful. Our team worked diligently to print a variety of items, including toys, lamps, Father's Day gifts, controller stands, and even musical instruments. We also decided to provide on-the-spot custom printed keychains, and to make this possible, we acquired a Bambu Labs A1 printer just a day before the event.

In addition to our products, we invested in professional business cards, which we designed in-house and had printed at a local FedEx Office at a reasonable price. To further enhance our presence, we brought a tablet that served as a digital business card, displaying our company name and a QR code linking to our website. We also set up a large foldable laptop as a digital ad and showcase, featuring a simple Google Slides document with pictures and videos highlighting our capabilities and previous projects. Google Slides, a free program similar to PowerPoint, proved to be an excellent tool for this purpose.

On the day of the event, we were ready to showcase our creations to the attendees. We were pleased to find that many of our printed items sold well, but we also noticed that some items didn't attract as much attention as we had hoped. Upon reflection, we realized that many people might not have understood the purpose or function of some of our products. This valuable lesson taught us the importance of providing clear labels and descriptions for each item category in future events.

To ensure a smooth transaction process, we utilized Square for payment processing. This incredible tool allowed us to accept various payment methods and provided excellent organizational tools and utilities within the app. We also accepted cash payments to accommodate all preferences.

One of the highlights of the event was our custom keychain generation service. Using the text2stl website, we were able to create personalized keychains on the fly, offering a selection of fonts for customers to choose from. This unique offering was a hit among the attendees and showcased the versatility of 3D printing technology.

Throughout the event, we had the pleasure of meeting amazing people and engaging in meaningful conversations. This experience also provided us with an excellent opportunity to practice our sales skills and gain valuable insights into customer preferences and interests.

Most importantly, participating in Wild Roots Hair Company's 3rd anniversary event allowed us to expose DIVO3D to the world. We were able to introduce our brand, showcase our capabilities, and establish connections with potential customers and collaborators.
